A mid century modern inspired house in brentwood, tennessee

The clients for this home were moving to the area and were looking for a mid century modern home. They were not having any luck finding something that fit their needs so they decided to build new. They are MCM aficionados and collectors with a large amount of incredible period pieces. They didn’t want their house to be a reproduction of a MCM home, but more of a modern interpretation playing off of mid century elements with large amounts of glass and sloping roof lines.

The house is 5,946 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, a gym, home theater and 3 car garage with lift bay (the client enjoys working on cars). It also has a 22′ long Nanawall that opens the main living area out onto the patio that, because of the steep slope, is set at tree top height allowing for some spectacular hillside views.
