Sapello House

Sapello, New Mexico
Designed: 2005
Under Construction

This is a remodel of an old existing adobe house in northern New Mexico. The entire interior was gutted. The design was for a new bedroom/sitting room with a bathroom on the lower level.  It was important to keep a porch off the upper living area to take advantage of the great views.

The design was for a glass room that juts out at a 45 degree angle from the existing house allowing views of both the ravine to the east as well as the mountains to the west. The flat roof forms the deck above. The room was laid out with stone columns to hold wood beams that the owner had salvaged from the interior of the home.
