Chevron House

Nashville, Tennessee
Designed: 2006
Unbuilt

This house was designed for Dream Inc. as a spec home. It was to be sited on an oversized sloping lot with direct views of downtown Nashville. The design is for three floors of inverted trusses forming a ceiling that slopes up towards the sky. This feature creates soaring interior spaces and helps funnel in natural light through upper transom windows. This allows for the occupants to control privacy yet still enjoy the sunlight.

The lower level is designed for a large patio and pool with an elevator that travels to all three floors. The middle level contains a large entertaining area with open living, dining and kitchen. All of the bedrooms are located on the top level along with a large media room for family entertainment. Both middle and upper levels feature a wrap-around deck with an exterior fireplace.
